Lemons
The local lemon variety is "Femminello massese,” better known as the Sorrento Lemon. This famous lemon is exported worldwide. The "Ovale di Sorrento" lemon, thanks to the favorable climate conditions and the rich soil of our land, has the perfect balance between sugars and acids. The essential oils in its skin creates an intense fragrance.
In March of 2000, the Sorrento Lemon received the PGI trade mark (protected geographical indication) with subsequent recognition by the European Union.
This lemon is available from March to September.
